Clarification for foreigners: don't call Inter with the word ''Inter Milan''

I guess they use "Inter Milan" because in English that is how you say the city Milano.

so it makes sense why English speaking population would use the word Milan instead of Milano.

I always try to correct people who use that and tell them the name is Internazionale Milano or simply say Inter without adding the milan part.

I think it's ok when they speak about "Inter Milan".

Once in a champions league show on ITV (english television) they spoke about us and always called us "Milan". It was very very annoying :all But they really meant INTER not bbilan and all the people which were involved in this discussion knew that!
